Selection of 70 studies composed by

Albert Mijailovich Belyavsky

(Russia, 24.9.1934 - 1.4.2018)

(Not to be confused by otb Grandmaster Alexander Belyavsky !)

He was a painter and lived in Sint Petersburg.

Albert Mikhailovich Belyavsky – professional artist. Unfortunately, he is not very well known to a wide circle of chess players. Everyone knows grandmaster Alexander Belyavsky. St. Petersburg master Boris Belyavsky is less familiar to chess fans, but there is also an excellent sketchist – Albert Belyavsky.
He did not compose many studies (maybe one for a year of life), but most of them are beautiful.
In his free hours in his art workshop, A.M. draws his sketches. He works, as they say, «on the table», and only after years he introduces his colleagues to his works, amazing and enchanting them.
